The association, whose activities are not aimed at profit and which is limited to non-profit activities in the sense of §34 - 35 BAO, is a scientific association.
Its tasks are:

1. Comprehensive maintenance and further development of the open source software openCFS.
2. Promotion of the use of openCFS for scientific problems which are solved with the help of numerical simulation and thus to arrive at new, innovative products for the benefit of mankind.
3. Promotion of the scientific documentation of openCFS and the use of openCFS in the university sector.
4. Promotion of young scientists, especially students at universities in Austria and Germany and worldwide, in the field of numerical simulation of complex technical systems.
5. Awarding of a user prize, which is presented once a year within the scope of user meetings.
6. Presentation of a Developer Prize, which is awarded once a year within the scope of a Developer Meeting.

We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings in front of a consumer arbitration board.
